The Department for Effective Public Management of the Organization of American States, Technical Secretariat of the GEALC Network, has launched the 2025 call for applications for the 13th Inter-American Award on Innovation for Effective Public Management (PIGEP).

The main purpose of the Award is to strengthen democratic governance in the region by improving public administrations in the countries of the Americas through the dissemination and exchange of innovative experiences in effective public management.

The call for applications will be open until June 13, 2025. Categories:

1. Innovation in Smart Government

2. Innovation in Open Government

3. Innovation in the use of evidence from behavioral sciences

4. Innovation in social inclusion

5. Innovation in a gender equality, diversity, and human rights approach

To apply for the Award, the following requirements must be taken into account:

a. Be an institution or entity at any of the different administrative levels (national, state, local) and belong to one of the OAS Member States;

b. The innovative experience(s) to be presented must have been in place for a minimum of two (2) years. For this purpose, the project/activity development and design period will not be taken into consideration;

c. Complete the Online Application Form.
