Call for Entries: excelGOV Awards 2026

The Awards for Excellence in digital government, excelGOV, are organized every two years by the Electronic Government Network of Latin America and the Caribbean (GEALC Network), with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).


Each edition allows for the recognition and systematization of the most transformative initiatives in this field carried out in Latin America and the Caribbean. The awards have their 10th iteration in 2026 and the process is open to the public presentation of applications for solutions in operation, at the national level (neither provincial nor municipal), in these two categories:

1.Digital transformation. 

2. Cross-border digital services.

 

The winning organization in each category will receive a technical mission for one person, with all expenses paid, to South Korea, financed by the IDB.

 

Special mentions on (a) Data, (b) Gender Approach and (c) Emerging Technologies will be awarded amongst all candidates of the two categories.

The winner of each special mention will receive a scholarship for a virtual course on the OAS Campus.

 

Voting will take place during the IX Ministerial Meeting on Electronic Government of the Americas (October 2026). The jury, as usual, are the delegations participating in the VIII Ministerial Meeting, with one vote per country (the decisions of the jury are final)

 
Form of submission: Through this electronic form before August 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Dominican Republic time).


Each entity or person can submit as many applications as they wish.

The solutions to be considered must be national in scope (municipal or provincial solutions are not accepted) and must be in the process of implementation at the time of application. Particular weight will be given to the impact achieved by these solutions.
